Highline Bears Semi Pro Baseball Roster



 Josh Evans enters his second year as Manager for the Highline Bears. Evans is responsible     for all on field and in game decisions and plays a significant role in the teams hitting. In 2016 he spent some time with the team in 2016 as a 3rd base coach, appearing in several games for the Bears.

Josh will be going into his 10th season of coaching with experience at all levels from youth baseball, select organizations and helping with collegiate programs.

On top of coaching he has been an infield/hitting instructor at Diamond Sports in Sumner, Wa for the past 6 years.
Josh grew up in Kent, Washington where he attended and played Baseball at Kentridge high school, graduating in 2008. He then attended and played baseball on scholarship at Pierce College, in Steilacoom, WA.



Assistant Coach

Signed with Western Oregon University out of high school (Bellarmine Preparatory) as a Pitcher/Outfielder.  Played two years and studied Communications.  Earned GNAC Freshman of the Year (2010).  Transferred to New Mexico Highlands University to finish out collegiate baseball career.

While in college, invited to play for the Kitsap BlueJackets and Bellingham Bells.  Played two years after college for the Seattle Studs and won the NBC National Championship in 2013.

 Earned Pacific International League 1st Team (x2) 2012 and 2013.  Earned NBC World Series First Team (2012).  Coached two years at Rock Creek Select (14u). Led team to 48-18 record in 2017 and took 3rd place in the San Diego World Series.  Previously coached at Colfax High School (1 year) and Baseball Positive (2 years).
